untitled instrumental Streatham #1
(Johnny Marr)

This untitled instrumental was demoed in May 1987 at Firehouse Studios, Streatham (London) with Grant Showbiz as producer. It was meant to be used as the backing track for an eventual b-side to a single from "Strangeways Here We Come". Morrissey never wrote any lyrics for it, or if he did, a vocal version was never recorded. The song may or may not have been given the working title "You Don't Know Anything". The title "Streatham #1" (untitled instrumental) is the one used by musical biographer Simon Goddard in his essential "Songs That Saved Your Life".
