This concert went down well, Morrissey was overall reasonably talkative. After "Hand In Glove" the singer greeted his audience with "Hello Leicester!". "Pretty Girls Make Graves" was introduced with the warning "Oh incidentally, pretty girls make graves..." As the band was about to launch into "Still Ill" Morrissey shouted something that sounded like "GET OUT!" The yet-to-be-released "Barbarism Begins At Home" was preceded with the line "This song is called 'Barbarism Begins At Home' and you should know by now... you're all grown up people now, you got to face it..." Then "Back To The Old House" was introduced as "Oh this is for all you big softies..."

Following a very well received "What Difference Does It Make?" the Smiths left stage while Morrissey shouted "Goodbye!... Goodbye!" They were called back and before launching into the encore Morrissey said "Thank you Leicester!" In that final song, "You've Got Everything Now", Morrissey changed a line to "No, I've never had a job because frankly, I just don't want one!".

A fair sounding audience recording of the complete concert is available on physical and digital bootlegs under the title "A Boy In The Bush".

An alternate audience recording is also out there, but scarcely found whether on physical support or in digital format. Its speed is too fast, the sound is more muffled and it lacks the latter half of "What Difference Does It Make?" and the complete encore.

The existence of a soundboard recording is rumoured.
