This concert received mostly positive reviews. Morrissey seemed to be in great spirits, but he wasn't very talkative. Very few fans made it on stage, and the ones that did made it near the end of the show. At one point Morrissey was thrown a Union Jack with "Viva Morrissey" written on it. He wrapped it around himself for a bit, then fixed it to the drum rise with glasses of water to hold it in place for the remainder of the show. During final encore "Disappointed", Morrissey had to be carried off stage by his bodyguard. Alain finished singing the song as best he could.

The setlist length was brought back up to 18 songs for the first time in almost a month with the addition of "The Loop" which was seeing its live debut. It took the place of "Everyday Is Like Sunday" as the first encore while the latter was moved up halfway into the main set. However "The Loop" would not be played again until halfway into the upcoming UK leg of the tour. From the next gig, it would be replaced in its position of first encore by "Yes I Am Blind".

A fair audience recording of the full concert minus "Disappointed" is available on a bootleg cd titled "Beautiful Liar". This is widely available on file sharing networks, sometimes without "The Loop". A different audience recording is also available from bootleg traders, but this one is not circulated on the internet yet.
