Morrissey was very well received by the San Francisco fans. Security was very tight and nobody made it on stage. There was a lot of pushing and shoving in the crowd however. Morrissey wasn't very talkative, but he did introduce "Suedehead" with "This song has a place in my heart". His only other banter was "Good evening, San Francisco", delivered before the opening song.

After having been dropped from the setlist for a few dates, "Cosmic Dancer" was reinstated for this night only. It would not be played again on this leg and only return on the upcoming UK leg of the tour. The song had so far usually been performed as an encore, but on this final American performance its position was switched with that of "Asian Rut".

A reasonable quality audience recording of the complete concert is available on bootleg cds. The good thing about it is that it captured really well the enthusiasm of the audience. It can also be found on the internet, but fans should be aware that the concert usually found there under this date is actually a recording from San Francisco 31 October 1991 (Berkeley is a suburb of San Francisco, hence the confusion of the original file poster).
