This was a good show. Morrissey and the band were in good form. However Morrissey was still not very talkative. It has been speculated that he was saving his voice. As a matter of fact, he was seen massaging his throat at some point into the show. The crowd was very wild at the front, but overall quite tame. No one made it on stage. There was no change in the setlist.

As he entered stage Morrissey greeted the crowd by shouting "O-magh God!" During set opener "This Charming Man" he shook hands with an overzealous crowd member and security immediately rushed on to save him from being pulled into the moat. A similar incident had happened a few days earlier in Killarney. Because the venue was a sports centre, there was no alcohol for sale. This prompted Morrissey to ask at some point "Is there really no alcohol tonight?" He made a face and handed the microphone to a crowd member who confirmed it.

Over the length of the show Morrissey was handed many gifts: letters, flowers, boxer shorts, etc. He replied to all this adoration by asking "Can you bare icky sentiment? I can't... I live in a world of strangers..." He also teased the fans by saying that everyone would be running back to their mammies after the show. Newest single "Something Is Squeezing My Skull" was being released that very week so he sarcastically introduced it by saying "If you have been into any record shops lately, you will not have noticed that we have a new single..."

Morrissey changed the final line of "One Day Goodbye Will Be Farewell" to something undecipherable, and asked "Why are people smiling? Why?... I don't understand..." He then joked about the venue by saying "As you are aware, this is a venue for 5-a-side, and I'll be here tomorrow with my shinpads..." He was interrupted by various shouts, so he turned to one particularly loud person and asked "What? I'm sorry, what? Do you mean you want to say something nice? (hands him the microphone) Say something nice..." The fan shouted "You're absolutely gorgeous!" and Morrissey retorted "Are you sure?, then made a gagging noise. His parting words before going into encore "First Of The Gang To Die" were "Whatever happens, it means (?)..."
