Additional information:
This is an expanded edition of the original 1995 edition of the album. The track listing was resequenced and features as bonus material the b-side "Nobody Loves Us", two previously unreleased songs from the same era ("Honey, You Know Where To Find Me" and "You Should Have Been Nice To Me") as well as a previously unreleased song from 1992 ("Fantastic Bird"). The album also features new artwork.

The booklet of this new edition features liner notes that give an insight into the album's recording process, the tensions between the band and a candid take (for Morrissey) about what "Southpaw Grammar" means to him.

European branches of iTunes also offered the videos to "Dagenham Dave" and "The Boy Racer" as well as live versions of "London" and "Billy Budd" (originally released in 1995 on the "The Boy Racer" cd-single) with digital purchases of this album reissue.

Artwork information:
Cover photo by Linder Sterling, taken in El Paso, Texas in November 1992. More photos from the same session are found inside the album's booklet (view in left section). Most of these do not appear in the Argentinean edition.

Etchings on vinyl:
There are no vinyl edition of this album, but the words "the heart is a lonely hunter" appear between the runout grooves of the cd label artwork which is a mock-up of a 45rpm record.
